摘要

The CIE (Commission Internationale de l’Eclairage) published a method of colour specification in 1931. Since then, the CIE system has undergone several revisions, improvements and amendments but the conceptual framework of 1931 remains the primary method for instrumental colour specification and is used routinely in a very wide variety of industries and applications.
