Robotics and Colour

Before delving into the applications of colour in the field of robotics, it is essential to understand the definition of a robot. The term “robot” was first introduced by Czech writer Karel Čapek in his stage play “Rossum’s Universal Robots” (1921). Over time, the definition of a robot has evolved and become more specific, adapting to the expanding domains of application. According to the definition included in the International Organization for Standardization’s (ISO) international standard “ISO 8373,” a robot is defined as “a programmable, autonomous device with the ability to perform motion, manipulation, or positioning tasks”.
