Artificial Intelligence and Colour

The last decade has seen unparalleled advances in Artificial Intelligence (AI). Artificial Intelligence is “technology for the development of machines, which are created entirely by artificial means and can exhibit behaviors … like human beings,” (Mijwel in, History of Artificial Intelligence Yapay Zekânın T arihi. Comput Sci, 2015). AI is also about “understanding the nature of intelligent thought and action using computers as experimental devices,” (Buchanan in, AI Mag 26:53–60, 2005). The idea of machines that could think or of machines that could behave like humans goes back a long way from Talos (an automaton who was gifted to Minos to guard Crete) in Greek mythology to the Mechanical Turk (a fraudulent machine that could play chess) in 1770 that famously played a game against Napoloeon.
