Behavioral Practices of the Realization of Environmental Policy

摘要

The chapter focuses on the analysis of the ecological element in the behavior of contemporary consumers through a targeted environmental policy of the state, aimed at shaping environmental culture and environmental consciousness of the population. The methodological basis of this study is the concept of ecology of personality, which is based on responsible consumption. The study focuses on the orientation of a person to ecological values and ecological lifestyle, which is determined by age or social differences, as well as the fact that the basic level of formation of ecological values and ecological agenda is in the first place. The structure of responsible behavior, the place of the ecological element in it, and possible accepted behavioral roles of the consumer are analyzed. Special emphasis is given to identifying the peculiarities of responsible behavior and to youth involvement in environmental practices. The chapter is based on the results of the research using questionnaires and focus groups that helped to identify the ecological element in the responsible behavior of young people. The study made it possible to characterize the components of responsible behavior of students oriented on environmental culture and values. The data analysis allowed us to conclude that environmental culture and environmental values shared by young people, manifested in everyday environmental practices, are indicators of responsible behavior. It is concluded that the ecological culture of youth, manifested in ecological everyday behavioral practices, is one of the criteria of the developing responsible consumption of young people.
