China–Neighboring Countries’ Humanistic Exchanges and the Building of a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind Diplomacy: Cases of China–Myanmar and China–Nepal Buddhist Cultural Exchanges

As human society enters the twenty-first century, the process of globalization has accelerated rapidly, making the world an increasingly interconnected whole. The interconnection and mutual influence among countries have been expanding. Meanwhile, many negative issues have popped out, including anti-globalization, unilateralism, populism, trade protectionism, extreme environmental protectionism, extreme egoism, and the rise of far-right forces and other ideological and political groups in many countries. Therefore, the global community is collectively confronting serious governance challenges. In response to these challenges, China has put forward the vision of A Community with A Shared Future for Mankind, adhered to the principle of pursuing the greater good and shared interests, rejected the zero-sum game, and advocated win-win cooperation. Through extensive exchanges and cooperation with neighboring countries, China has taken the lead in promoting the vision of A Community with A Shared Future for Mankind. Exchange and mutual appreciation of different civilizations represent an important part of the vision. China–Myanmar and China–Nepal Buddhist cultural exchanges are truly good examples of humanistic exchanges and mutual appreciation with neighboring countries, contributing to the building of A Community with A Shared Future for Mankind. The two examples are inspiring and worthy of further exploration.
