Exploring Theories of Employee Performance

This conceptual paper explores organizational performance by synthesizing key theories, namely the Goal-Setting Theory, Expectancy Theory, and Equity Theory. Drawing from seminal works by [1, 9], the paper explores the interconnectedness of goal setting, motivation, and fairness within the organizational context. A qualitative research approach is employed, leveraging a comprehensive literature review to unearth common threads and practical applications of these theories. This paper contributes to the ongoing discourse on organizational behavior, offering a nuanced understanding of the interplay between individual and collective performance drivers.
