摘要

The bibliographic review article is a methodology of observational research, systematic, oriented to the selection, interpretation, and discussion of theoretical positions, results, and conclusions embodied in scientific articles disclosed in recent years about waste textiles and its developments. To address this significant issue, this study outlines a comprehensive approach to waste minimization within the fashion and textile sector, encompassing various stages of the product lifecycle and involving multiple stakeholders. At the design stage, emphasis is placed on integrating principles of sustainable design, including material selection, durability, and disassembly. The purpose of the study is to understand the importance of reducing waste in the fashion and textile sector of the economy. The research seeks to pinpoint waste origins, investigate substitute materials and manufacturing techniques, and offer solutions. Materials recycling and upcycling, reducing overproduction, streamlining supply chains, and increasing customer awareness are among the suggestions. Reduction of landfill trash, adoption of circular economy ideas, and increasing use of sustainable materials are among the accomplishments. Overall, the paper emphasizes how vital it is for the fashion and textile industries to address their waste problems and offers workable solutions to reduce environmental damage without sacrificing their capacity to make a profit. In order to implement waste minimization strategies, the article highlights the cooperative efforts of industry players, including manufacturers, designers, retailers, and consumers. The fashion and textile sector can significantly reduce its ecological footprint while creating new opportunities for economic growth and social responsibility.
