IoT Based Car Accident Detection and Emergency Communication System Using GSM and RF Along with Audiovisual Assistant
摘要
The idea of “smart cities” has grown in popularity and Internet of Things (IoT) is being used to improve urban infrastructure productivity and sustainability. It has number of advantages through smart digital solutions that may be employed at any time or place. The IoT is helping to solve issues including traffic congestion, road safety, waste and pollution control management, a lack of available parking spaces, and many more. One major challenge is the detection of road accidents and its timely reporting to emergency services. Accidents that should have been reported to local ambulances in a timely manner sometimes go unreported or delayed. This research work suggests a technique for locating a car accident and informing an emergency center of its location. The goal is to offer an IoT-enabled system that uses an accelerometer for collision detection, GPS/RF signals to quickly alert an ambulance and emergency center and an Audio-Visual System (AVS) to capture the picture of the cabin over voice commands. The captured image will help in checking the emergency situation and damage inside the cabin. A wide perspective and experimental performance assessment of the proposed system is also discussed in the article.
