The considerations made so far have contributed to the definition of a methodological framework dedicated to the study and understanding of the city-sea interface and its socio-ecological features. In particular, the validity of this method in benchmarking processes between different coastal cities is emphasised. The relevance of this approach lies in the definition of shared knowledge concerning the perceptions of the urban coastal society and the dynamics inherent in the governance of the maritime territory. Indeed, the comparison between coasts that are similar in terms of functionality and socio-ecological spheres can serve as an efficient reading key to common problems.

摘要

The considerations made so far have contributed to the definition of a methodological framework dedicated to the study and understanding of the city-sea interface and its socio-ecological features. In particular, the validity of this method in benchmarking processes between different coastal cities is emphasised. The relevance of this approach lies in the definition of shared knowledge concerning the perceptions of the urban coastal society and the dynamics inherent in the governance of the maritime territory. Indeed, the comparison between coasts that are similar in terms of functionality and socio-ecological spheres can serve as an efficient reading key to common problems.
