Online Serial Laboratories
摘要
In this chapter, we present the implementation of a set of laboratories designed for both on-site and remote utilization, aimed at studying RS232, RS422, and RS485 serial protocols and interfaces. These laboratories are deployed on the efficient Raspberry Pi 4B platform, chosen for its low power consumption and potential for seamless integration with existing university servers. By leveraging this platform, students gain hands-on experience in configuring, transmitting, and receiving serial signals while visualizing the corresponding waveforms of the physical electrical data transfer process. Furthermore, several security controls have been considered to ensure a secure system with minimal disruptions, ensuring data integrity, confidentiality, and availability of the system.
