Advancing Embedded Systems Education Through Remote Laboratory Integration in the Teaching Module Microprocessor Technology
摘要
The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the need for digitalization upgrades in traditional teaching methods. Therefore the MICRO project was created to address this issue by facilitating remote work with microcontroller-based embedded systems in teaching. The project offers a remote laboratory setup that any university can independently implement and tailor to its specific needs. MICRO is entirely developed by students and provides numerous benefits for those involved in the project’s hardware and software development, as well as for later usage in teaching. The new remote lab will initially be used in the Microprocessor Technology teaching module at the University of Applied Sciences Mittelhessen (THM) but has the potential for many other applications to support digitalization of teaching and learning.
