The Principle of Remanufacture in Circular Economy: Same as New Product
摘要
In the circular economy context, remanufacturing plays a crucial role, as remanufacturing involves restoring a product to at least its original performance, often with a guarantee equal to or even better than a newly manufactured product. This microchapter provides a brief introduction and definition of remanufacturing, followed by the seven-step remanufacture process that highlights its contribution to the circular economy. Then, the most important requirements for design to remanufacture illustrate the high potential for maximising resource efficiency. The example of mtu engines from Rolls-Royce Power Systems rounds off this microchapter.
