The history of the human species’ relationship with nature is nothing other than the history of the forms of interaction it has constructed with it. Does this mean that the human species and nature are on the same level? Despite all our efforts to do so, are we capable of destroying nature, or rather our own conditions of existence in nature? The end of the world envisaged by many will only ever be, if it actually happens, the end of human presence in the universe. Even if our planet were to be abolished, the life of the galaxies would nonetheless continue its course.
