The Use of GIS to Improve the Parameters of Gold-Bearing Quartzite Extraction Technology

The geological and structural characteristics of the Chovdar gold deposit were analyzed. It is noted that the structure of the deposit is characterized by secondary quartzites, with the presence of discontinuous and cracked structures. The chapter is devoted to the creation of a geological model of the Chovdar deposit using geoinformation systems. Proposals have been developed to improve the technology of drilling and blasting, taking into account the fissuring of rocks and the use of more environmentally friendly types of explosives. A technique has been developed using geoinformation models for calculating the specific natural fracturing and the average distance between fracturing.
