In my book “Tachyonen—Orgonenergie—Skalarwellen—Feinstoffliche Felder zwischen Mythos und Wissenschaft” I advocated that the history of science should treat scientific disciplines as holistic-cultural phenomena. The history of a discipline must not only be described from the view of the actually dominating standpoint, but must incorporate the undercurrents and subcultures of science, which are currently marginalized or completely excluded. A discipline consists not only of the currently dominating doctrine, but also of its repressed notions and unconscious, i.e., those conceptions that at a given moment have been considered not to be relevant, or not scientific enough, and have therefore been excluded. It must also include Non-Hegemonic Science, i.e., science that is currently not dominating, either within the Western world or in Non-Western ex-colonized countries.
