Switching-Time and Heat Produced at Drivetrains with Centrifugal Clutches
摘要
Operational behaviour of drivetrains with centrifugal clutches is influenced by non-linear characteristics of its components. Thus, it is difficult to determine the start-up time of the system by manual means e.g. This suggests the application of modeling and simulation comprising the non-linearities during system planning. This paper shows the implementation of a centrifugal clutch object, a motor object and a load object in multi body simulation software OpenModelica. The descriptive equations are derived and transferred to objects compatible with the translational mechanics library in OpenModelica. Diverse system configurations are analyzed by means of the new modeling option. Simulations are executed in order to evaluate the model including the new objects and to determine the system behaviour at different parameters. The start-up time of the system and the heat production of the clutch are in focus especially.
