Surgical Anatomy of the Hip

Knowledge of the local anatomy is of the utmost importance in any successful surgical procedure. This chapter illustrates the normal surgical anatomy of the hip based on a series of fresh cadaveric dissections and with more emphasis on its vascular aspects. The descriptions and illustrations cover the topographic anatomy of the hip applicable to the common anterior through posterior approaches.
