Inter−/Subtrochanteric Femoral Osteotomy
摘要
Intertrochanteric or subtrochanteric osteotomies may be performed as stand-alone procedures or via the surgical hip dislocation (SHD) approach (see Chap. 7 ). Whenever a surgeon wishes to address any coexisting intra-articular pathology along with proximal femoral deformity correction, the SHD offers a clear advantage of a single surgical approach with unmatched intraoperative flexibility. Depending on the type of osteotomy to be performed, the implant choice and age of the patient (child, adolescent, or adult), the details of the surgical technique may vary substantially.
