Introduction

This chapter describes the methodology employed in the study that constitutes the core of this book. It begins with an initial statement on the importance of sustainability and then describes the methods used to collect and analyze data on the study participants’ views on the three pillars of sustainability. The rationale for selecting the participants from Guyana, Canada, India, Sri Lanka, and the United States of America is described and a summary of each of the 41 participants’ views on the subject is provided.
