Network Intelligentization

From “service intelligence” to “whole network intelligence,” network intelligentization continues to evolve with the development of communication networks and gradually goes into all levels of communication networks. In essence, the 6G network is an intelligent network. This chapter reviews the development process of network intelligentization. It provides the basis for the technical proposal of a 6G intelligent network from the aspects of development context, trend and existing problems. This chapter first introduces network intelligentization technology, which is also the beginning of service intelligentization technology—intelligent network technology. Then it introduces the evolution of network intelligentization technology from service network intelligentization in the 2.5/3G data service stage to the interaction and integration of network intelligentization and mobile Internet in the 4G era. Finally, the development of network intelligentization technology to “whole network intelligence” in the 5G era is introduced.
