Evaluation and Testing Methodology for the User Interface of a Technical System

The paper presents a methodology for testing the interface's compliance with the logic of the user's professional activity. It was developed within the framework of an approach, the key feature of which is the study and formation of a logic description of the user’s professional actions performed in the subject area, as well as its presentation in the system interface in the form of a task map. This makes it possible to consider the context of the user’s activity as a whole and create an interface that best suits this activity, which will make the interface more user-friendly. The presented testing methodology allows us to evaluate the adequacy of the interface to the logic of professional activity through the prism of selected criteria, such as the completeness of filling the user interface with elements and their compliance with data sets and functions of the user’s professional activity.
