Construction, Validation and Standardization of Mathematical Phobia Scale
摘要
This study created and validated a robust Mathematical Phobia Scale to assess students’ mathematical abilities and enhance their academic and career development. Using descriptive research, 760 students were randomly selected for data collection, and the data were analyzed using IBM’s SPSS software. The results revealed excellent internal consistency and high split-half reliability, confirmed by the Guttman method and Spearman-Brown prophecy formula. The scale demonstrated strong face, content, construct, and criterion validity. In summary, the Mathematical Phobia Scale is a reliable and valid tool for evaluating students’ mathematical phobia, offering significant potential to support their academic and career progress. #CSOC1120
