Guattari Beyond Deleuze: On Being, Time, Subjectivity, and Openness

  • Carlos A. Segovia

摘要

In this chapter I put forward the view that Deleuze and Guattari’s philosophies differ from each other in their treatment of being, time, and subjectivity: while Guattari’s philosophy proves constructivist, Deleuze’s presents sacrificial traits. Hence, too, their dissimilar view on openness and closure qua onto-logical modal categories. Furthermore, I examine their divergent relation to Heidegger’s dual legacy and to structuralism’s two original tendencies. To end with, I contrast Deleuze and Guattari’s respective approaches to the history of philosophy.
