Flood Modeling in the Urban Area Model
摘要
Modeling floods on tall buildings and major structures is important for flood risk assessment in urban areas. However, this is also a challenging task due to the difficulty of obtaining detailed topography and monitoring data to build and validate the model. Catastrophic floods that occur in our country and around the world cause enormous damage to the national economy and often lead to human casualties. This research presents the results of numerical modeling of a challenging hydrodynamic process based on time dependent 3D RANS equations for describing the dynamics of a air-water double phase flow with a free surface. Verification of the used model was tested on the example of the classical problem of a symmetric dambreak. Particular consideration is paid to the accuracy of calculating the water level at different reservoir gauges. #CSOC1120.
