The Aneurysmal Access
摘要
Aneurysms are a common complication of hemodialysis grafts and fistulas. This chapter will cover the factors that cause an aneurysm to occur and the reasons that an aneurysm needs to be repaired—or not. Understanding why a particular aneurysm developed will direct the proper choice of repair. Preoperative evaluation will be described along with a discussion of the various surgical treatments. Finally, emphasis will be placed on the urgent repair of any access that presents with a sentinel bleed from an aneurysm.
