Sub-Saharan Africa features diverse agroecological regions that significantly shape agricultural practices and crop suitability. These regions include tropical rainforests, savannas, and highlands, each supporting various crops and livestock methods suited to local environmental conditions. While tropical rainforests enableand adaptive strategies are crucial for enhancing resilience and food security across the region the cultivation of cash crops like cocoa, savanna areas are conducive to maize and livestock farming. Climate change poses challenges, impacting crop productivity and threatening food security. Traditional farming techniques, such as shifting cultivation and mixed cropping, play vital roles in supporting subsistence farming. Sustainable practices, capacity building, and adaptive strategies are crucial for enhancing resilience and food security across the region.
