摘要

Agroecology is an environmentally sustainable agricultural approach that combines ecological principles with economic and social factors to create resilient farming systems. This methodology emphasizes the integration of nature’s cycles, promoting biodiversity, soil health, and the adaptation of farming practices to enhance resilience against environmental shocks. In sub-Saharan Africa, agroecology is vital for addressing the challenges posed by climate change, such as altered rainfall and extremeweather events. Practicing agroecology through techniques like conservation agriculture, agroforestry, water harvesting, and integrated pest management supports food security and enhances the livelihoods of smallholder farmers while providing sustainable solutions to agricultural challenges in the region.
