Flatties (Selenopidae)
摘要
The family of flatties, or Selenopidae, is found throughout the world, especially in tropical, subtropical, and Mediterranean regions, but also in deserts and up to an altitude of 2500 m. Flatties do not build webs but are nocturnal ambush predators. These animals have a strongly flattened body and can hide well in narrow crevices and cracks. Tree bark and rocks are therefore their natural habitat. Their long legs are turned slightly outward, as in both crabs and crab spiders, allowing these spiders to move at lightning speed.
