Cellar Spiders (Pholcidae)
摘要
Cellar spiders are a family of web-building spiders found throughout the world. Currently, around 2000 species in almost 100 genera are known. Cellar spiders are easily recognized by their unusually long legs, which is why they are often confused with harvestmen. Harvestmen, however, are not spiders but represent their own order within the arachnid class, which also includes scorpions, mites, and other groups. Most cellar spiders are found in forested areas of the tropics and subtropics, where they live under stones, under roots and bark, or in tree cavities; some are also found in rock walls and stony caves.
