Enabling BPM Competencies Through Real-Life Student Consulting Projects
摘要
Real-life student consulting projects represent a highly effective approach to teaching, enabling students to develop BPM competencies beyond the theoretical foundations taught in classrooms. In this context, we discuss and demonstrate the way our organisation manages these projects, providing students with practice-oriented teaching. Furthermore, the programme benefits regional companies, providing them with expert knowledge to enhance their BPM maturity. We conclude the discussion with a summary of the key insights for lecturers who wish to implement a similar approach for their students. These include setting clear goals with respect to the BPM lifecycle, implementing a professional project management approach for all projects, and defining practical BPM competencies to be enabled by the projects.
