摘要

The primary objective of the study involves planning, designing, and assessing the thermal performance of the building under various climatic zones. This study presents a comprehensive energy analysis and modelling approach applied to a newly designed residential building, aiming to optimize energy efficiency. The research integrates dynamic simulation tools and advanced energy modelling techniques to evaluate the building’s performance under varying environmental conditions. The objectives of the study include assessing the thermal performance of the building envelope and optimizing the selection and operation of active energy systems. A detailed building information model (BIM) is developed to simulate the building’s energy consumption, considering factors such as occupancy patterns, internal loads, and climate variations. Results indicate that the implemented passive design feature, including high performance insulation, significantly contributes to reducing heating and cooling demands. The dynamic simulation also highlights the impact of occupant behaviour on energy usage, emphasizing the importance of user engagement in achieving sustainable outcomes. The study further explores the suggestion of suitable materials that reduce the energy consumption of the building with respect to each climatic condition, thus providing a complied resource book for further practical application purposes. In conclusion, the research provides valuable insights into the energy performance of the designed residential building, offering practical recommendations for enhancing sustainability. The findings contribute to the broader field of energy-efficient construction and underscore the importance of holistic design considerations for future residential developments.
