摘要

Nickel and Cobalt based alloys are considered as the most advanced materials which are gaining popularity in various industrial applications such as aerospace and medical sector. These superalloys have excellent mechanical properties such as excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, high wear resistance, etc. However, their properties generate adverse effects during machining processes and produce poor machinability. Therefore, Nickel and Cobalt based alloys are classified as difficult in terms of machinability which influences the surface integrity and tool life. This short paper exposes a brief review of the materials properties with state-of-the-art research that studied the machinability of Nickel/Cobalt based alloys using multiple optimization techniques.
