摘要

In the recent times, there is great interest in aluminum and its alloys due to its lightweight and other main properties such as conductivity, wear and corrosion resistance, hardness, etc. In this paper, the waste of aluminum that used in electric power transmission wires was recycled to make aluminum alloy (AA5052) as a matrix of composite material. The paper aims to study effect of Nanoceramic particles adding like Titanium Oxide (NanoTiO2), Aluminum oxide (NanoAl2O3), and Zirconium Oxide (NanoZrO2) on aluminum alloy (AA 5052). The stir casting method is used to obtain the aluminum alloy and composite materials samples, then the necessary tests such as hardness, wear rate, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) are performed. The results showed a significant improvement at all levels, the microscopic examination showed that the crystal improved in large proportions as a result of the addition of ceramic nanoparticles. The hardness also increased in different proportions as a result of adding same percentage of (7%) for each these material (NanTiO2, NanoAl2O3 and NanoZrO2). The best result was when adding NanoZrO2, where the improvement reached 35%. The wear resistance was also improved by adding the Nanoceramic particles in varying proportions, also, the best result when adding NanoZrO2.
