摘要

In a photovoltaic system, a maximum power point tracking (MPPT) technique is necessary to ensure optimal operation under different operating conditions. There are several MPPT techniques in the literature, they can be classified in two ways, either according to the type of control (indirect or direct control), or the modernity of the technique (classic or innovate method). This paper presents a review of the main MPPT techniques for a PV system, which includes classicals techniques (Perturb and Observe (P&O), Incremental Conductance (IC), Open Circuit Voltage (OCV) and Short Circuit Current MPPT) and innovates techniques such as Fuzzy Logic Control (FLC), Artificial Neural Network (ANN), Sliding Mode Controller (SMC) and Metaheuristic techniques. On the other hand, we gave a comparative study between the P&O technique as an example of the most common classical technique, the FLC as a soft computing method and the state feedback controller, all of which are implemented in a boost converter. The comparative study in MATLAB Simulink showed that the State feedback controller has the lowest response time, and due this method as well as FLC the oscillation around steady state has decreased.
