The rise in civil aviation passenger traffic has put pressure on airport security and screening operations, hindering their growth. To address this, the article proposes Smart Airport initiatives, including a Smart System for Monitoring Suspicious Individuals in Airports using the SSD (Single Shot Multibox Detector) method and leveraging the Internet of Things (IoT). This innovative approach aims to improve security measures and airport efficiency within the Smart Airport development framework.
