Cybersecurity Challenges in the Global Aviation Network

Aviation faces a variety of cyber threats due to its reliance on digital technologies and networked systems, which could jeopardize operational security, effectiveness, and integrity. The threats and difficulties related to aviation's cyber security are thoroughly examined in this paper, and practical mitigation measures are suggested to increase the systems’ resistance to cyberattacks. The Information Technology (IT) infrastructure is a part of the aviation industry that is frequently attacked, with malicious hacking being the most common attack type with the goal of gaining unauthorized access. The objective is to map the vulnerabilities inside aviation infrastructures that are most frequently the targets of persistent attack operations and to identify common threat actors, their objectives, and attack methods. The analyses will facilitate a better comprehension of both the existing and potential situations.
