摘要

This study examines how stainless steel type 316L’s wear resistance was affected by fiber laser surface treatment. In addition to wear resistance, the micro hardness of SS316L was investigated. The laser parameters used in the experimental study are laser frequency with four different readings, constant laser power and constant laser scanning speed. A digital micro Vickers hardness tester was used to measure the micro hardness of the samples in HV before and after laser treatment. The wear rate was measured using the Pin-on-Disk principle. The microstructure of the base metal and the impact of laser parameters were investigated using optical microscopy (OM). Phases before and after laser treatment were identified using X-ray diffraction. The cross-sectional of heat-affected zones and the molten pool’s depth were examined using a scanning electron microscope (SEM). The results demonstrated that the micro hardness increased with increasing laser frequency. The wear test, however, showed that mass loss declined as laser surface treatment frequency rose. Improving the micro hardness was a major effect of Improvement the wear resistance.
