In this chapter we discuss the challenges related to the integration of AI into healthcare, and its impacts on patients who want to be recognized as unique individuals. AI has the potential to change the way that healthcare is delivered and can increase the efficiency of healthcare services. However, there are still challenges that have yet to be addressed. As healthcare has developed, the perspectives and wants of patients have been overlooked. Therefore, the chapter focuses on the impact of AI use in healthcare on patients. We discuss the challenges for AI integration from three perspectives: epistemological, psychological, and ethical. We conclude our chapter with points that should be considered regarding the inevitable integration of AI in healthcare.
