In this chapter, we outline the potential roles of personality in predicting attitudes toward AI. Focusing on the Five-Factor Model of personality (extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism, openness) and personal innovativeness in information technology, we summarize findings on how personality is associated with affective (positive and negative emotions) and cognitive (functionality and sociality) dimensions of AI attitudes. We conclude by suggesting several directions for future research in this area.

摘要

In this chapter, we outline the potential roles of personality in predicting attitudes toward AI. Focusing on the Five-Factor Model of personality (extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism, openness) and personal innovativeness in information technology, we summarize findings on how personality is associated with affective (positive and negative emotions) and cognitive (functionality and sociality) dimensions of AI attitudes. We conclude by suggesting several directions for future research in this area.
