Artificial Intelligence in Hip Arthroplasty
摘要
Total hip arthroplasty (THA) is one of the most common orthopedic procedures that significantly improve the patient’s life quality. Thanks to advances in knowledge and technology, orthopedic practices are exploring new approaches to enhance satisfactory hip surgical outcomes. Artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a revolutionary frontier in hip arthroplasty, promising to transform clinical practice and surgery activities. The epidemiology of THA reveals its increasing prevalence globally, with over one million procedures performed annually. AI and its subsets, machine learning, and deep learning have shown to be revolutionary in image analysis, diagnosis, and assessment of hip osteoarthritis features, offering personalized and efficient medical practice. AI-powered surgical simulation tools enable surgeons to practice and refine their approach.
