Artificial Intelligence in Sports Medicine

Considering how lucrative and highly valued the domain of sports medicine is, one can understand the need for continuous technological advancements in the digitalized world of today. In this setting, artificial intelligence (AI) has risen in popularity in recent years, with numerous potential applications encompassing different fields and domains. In sports medicine, AI can provide assistance to physicians, physical therapists, trainers, and athletes, and can help contribute to a smooth and efficient diagnostic, clinical, surgical, and prognostic management process. In addition, AI has shown excellent ability in predicting injury patterns and helping enhance athletic performance. Considering the novelty of this field, research exploring the different uses of AI in the field of sports medicine is pivotal for evaluating its utility, and further developing the current applications.
