Care Unit Implementation Strategies to Optimise the Design for Healthcare Facilities

HealthHealth coverage is one of the most discussed topics and the major priorities for public authorities and individuals in communities and countries around the world. The distribution of healthcareHealthcare resources has posed enormous challenges to the efficiency and equity of healthcare services at the inter-regional level. In this chapter, we have sought to optimize the location of different healthcare units in a healthcareHealthcare network: hospitals, secondary health centres, laboratories, pharmacies, distribution platforms for paramedical equipment, and waste disposal centers for hospital waste. The aim of this area is to serve the population through healthHealth services and to ensure equitable access between different places of residence, based on allocation location models and their variants. Then, the authors present the new trends that accompany the configuration of health networks such as cloud computing, blockchain, and cooperation. The authors present the impact of these technologies and approaches and their major role in the continuous improvement of careCare units by providing the networks with more communication, traceability, and efficiency through information exchange and the exchange of resources. These considerably improve and increase this sector to allow optimal decision-making and optimal location decisions.
