Semi-phenomenological Approach to the Description of Metal Nanoclusters

In this work, radiative transitions in nickel nanoclusters are studied based on the Thomas-Fermi method and the semiclassical approximation. It is shown that the compactness of the cluster volume leads to the appearance of additional, spatially separated energy levels of conduction electrons. #CSOC1120.
