摘要

This article introduces a decision support system that utilizes the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to determine the most optimal locations for wind turbine placement. As society’s environmental consciousness grows and the quest for sustainable energy solutions gains momentum, wind energy has emerged as a pivotal player in the shift towards cleaner energy sources. Nevertheless, meticulous selection of turbine locations is imperative to ensure the efficient utilization of available wind resources. The primary objective of this study is to bridge a gap in the current body of literature by presenting a thorough and methodical approach to the selection of wind turbine sites. Through applying the AHP methodology, a robust model has been constructed to scrutinize and assess the diverse criteria inherent in the strategic selection of these locations, while taking into account the intricacy and interconnections of pertinent factors. The findings of this research underscore the significance of wind patterns, topography, environmental and socioeconomic considerations, as well as the proximity to road infrastructure and the electricity grid. By considering these criteria, decision-makers can identify optimal sites that maximize energy production, minimize costs, and mitigate adverse impacts on the environment and local communities. This study not only enhances the efficiency of wind turbine site selection but also provides valuable insights for researchers, industry professionals, and policymakers seeking to transition towards more sustainable energy sources.
