Blockchain and Green Finance Scaling: Literature Synthesis and Future Research Agenda
摘要
This study aims to fill a gap in our understanding by employing bibliometric data to examine how blockchain technology has affected the growth of green finance. We address several research questions: What are various blockchain and green finance synergies interlinkages with SDG goals and targets? (RQ1). What are the most prominent authors, articles, journals, and countries in this literature? (RQ2). What major foundational themes have been explored by the literature? (RQ3). What are the major emerging frontiers in this sample period? (RQ4). The present investigation retrieves data from the Web of Science database spanning the time frame of 2019 to March 2024. The bibliometric analysis through performance analysis and science mapping, was employed to explore the most impactful authors, articles, countries, and journals in this specific field of literature. The present study involved an analysis of co-authorship, co-word analysis utilising the author's keywords, and bibliographic coupling to investigate the visibility and future trajectory of research. The study's results revealed several significant themes observed in the existing literature. These themes encompassed various aspects, including the fundamentals and security perspectives of blockchain, and the effectiveness and assurance of trust in blockchain technology.
