摘要

This study explores the challenges of urban water sustainability in Bangladesh, focusing on the need for a sustainable approach within urban governance. The study identifies the pressing issues faced by city corporations in managing water resources, including inadequate infrastructure, rapid urbanization, climate change impacts, and governance inefficiencies. By analyzing current water management practices and governance structures, the research highlights the gaps and inefficiencies that hinder the achievement of sustainable water systems in urban areas. The study also investigates the role of policy frameworks, stakeholder involvement, and technological innovations in addressing these challenges. Through a combination of primary data collection and secondary analysis, the research proposes a comprehensive approach to urban water governance that emphasizes the integration of sustainable practices, community engagement, and the adoption of smart technologies. The findings suggest that a strategic and collaborative approach to governance can significantly improve water sustainability in Bangladesh's urban centers, ensuring the long-term availability and quality of water resources for all residents.
