The general model of the restarting automaton, as defined in Definition 1.9.1, has a number of parameters that can be used to specify particular types of restarting automata (see Definition 1.9.18). Here we look at each of these parameters in turn. For each of them, we study its influence on the expressive capacity of the resulting types of restarting automata.
