Conclusion

Individuation through and about the body is certainly underway in Tunisia, but it is problematic, hindered, and conflictual. Individuals use strategies to freely live out their plural identities, whether considered normative or subversive. The low level of assimilation of the notion of citizenship in Tunisia, by both society and the state, means that the youth experiences continues to be fraught with the challenges of confronting various stigmas.
