Fibro-Osseous Lesions of the Nose and Paranasal Sinuses

The nose and paranasal sinuses can be affected by a wide range of disorders including inflammatory, infectious, and neoplastic disorders, among which is a class of benign bony neoplasm known as fibro-osseous lesions. They are benign and a slowly progressive disorder of the bone which is characterized by the replacement of the normal bone by fibroblasts and a variably mineralized collagen matrix leading to fibrous stroma mixed with ossifying or cement-like tissue [1].
