摘要

The end of the nineteenth century was the starting point of orbital surgery in the management of retrobulbar, intraorbital lesions, and orbital decompression mainly in Grave’s diseases. Later in the beginning of 1950, they used lateral orbitotomy as an approach for certain intracranial pathologies. With progression of endoscopic surgery, advanced approaches have been innovated in dealing with skull base, sinonasal, and lastly transorbital surgery. These endoscopic transnasal and transorbital approaches provide an excellent corridor for what is called the sino-orbito-cranial interface. This corridor for inside and around the orbit is evolving in limited practice with widening surgical indications and with the need for good collaboration between multiple correlated specialties [1].
